Double joy for WeTrade x PGR at Zhuhai

Rodrigo Dias Almeida secured back-to-back podium finishes for Team WeTrade x Phantom Global (PGR) at the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia weekend in Zhuhai with P3 in Round 3 and P2 in Round 4.

These results propel him into second place in the overall championship leaderboard and establish him as one of the leading drivers in the title fight.

For WeTrade, which first entered the world of motorsport in 2025 with the same team, this is a milestone long in the making. Bringing our expertise in communication and mindset, the partnership with PGR has seen steady progress, culminating in a weekend that brought both cheer and vindication to our belief in our driver, partners, and communities.

Through a circuit that combines heavy braking zones with tight chicanes and technical corner sequences, Almeida established strong rhythm early by placing the car precisely on entry and carrying speed through each apex, allowing him to build lap pace and stay in contention from the opening phase.

In Round 3, he stayed locked within the lead group through consistent lap execution, holding his braking points through each corner and carrying strong exit speed onto the straights which delivered a P3 finish.

Round 4 demanded even higher control as the field compressed repeatedly under safety car conditions. With timing becoming more critical and consequential, Almeida read each restart correctly and never stopped applying pressure on the leader to secure P2.

Across both races, our No. 8 is the only driver to step on the podium twice, a testament to the team’s control, consistency, and precision. The result reinforces his position as the top-performing driver within the Talent Pool presented by Michelin, across a grid of 30 drivers representing 12 different nations.

For WeTrade x PGR, this performance reflects a clear standard where execution under pressure define results at the front, on or off the track.

As the championship moves to Fuji International Speedway, Almeida’s front-running pace, combined with the team’s engineering strength, positions him as one of the drivers to watch.
